About Union

Who Are We?

The Union of Municipalities of Arcoub – Al-Harf was established in 2024 to act as a bridge between the municipalities of the villages under its jurisdiction and between these municipalities and central authorities.

The Union emerged under challenging conditions, facing significant obstacles not only in managing local services but also in steering comprehensive, sustainable, and participatory local development aimed at achieving progress and growth objectives. Substantial efforts were made to establish the Union under the leadership of the President of Majdel Maoush Municipality, Mr. Romeo Yaghi, in close collaboration with the presidents of other municipalities, aiming to provide a model of collaborative and innovative municipal work.

The Union encompasses 11 municipalities in the Chouf district within the Mount Lebanon governorate. These villages are distinguished by their stunning natural landscapes, healthy environment, and rich historical and cultural heritage.
