Majdel Maoush is a village in the Chouf district of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. It is located at an altitude ranging from 350 to 900 meters above sea level, extending toward the foot of the mountains. Situated 43 km from Beirut, its population is unspecified. The village is nicknamed “The Land of the Patriarchs” due to its historical association with Patriarch Jean Makhlouf and Blessed Patriarch Saint Estephan Douaihy, who resided there for a time. Their pastoral influence remains evident in the village.
